I guess at the end of the day it doesn't really matter what it's made of. I've never seen issues with one flexing or breaking, and shimano uses ci4 on the Thunnus for saltwater use. They're clearly pretty confident in the material. If people don't like it, there's an aluminum alternative. 

You're right, it really doesn't matter, I guess.  The reels are obviously solid and a little lighter than aluminum, otherwise they wouldn't be so popular.  I don't care for the feel of that one, don't know if it's the graphite composition or what. I like the FK a little better, and I save $20 on each one, but I don't think this is anything other than a nice reel.

I found this in the description of the reel on the BPS site, it says it has a Carbon body:

Looks like the 100 size is sold out. When I read your message I was standing in a surprising line at Bass Pro 10 minutes before they opened. I was debating ordering the 2500 I wanted online while standing there in line or risking it by hoping all those people in front of me would not beat me to them. I got down to the reel section and grabbed one! Said they started the day with 6 and I got the 3rd one left at 9:01 LOL

Yes, graphite is composed only of carbon atoms.  Carbon fiber is just a form of graphite.

I ordered a 1000 around 2am. They were doing site maintenance around midnight and I assumed it was to update the sale information. Went back a bit later and snagged one.

they have it in stock now, i ordered 2x 2500 and then i saw the 3000 in stock too so i ordered 2x on that. i was wondering is there any difference between 2500 n 3000? if theres no difference i might cancel the order for 2500

Body is the same. 3000 has a slightly deeper spool and a bigger handle knob.

Not really better or worse. Mostly comes down to personal preference. 

Great reels!  I have two 2500s and two 3000s. The 3000s have 15lb braid and the 2500s have 10 lb braid. I use them for bass, sea trout, snook and redfish. My oldest one is 6 years old, has been used extensively in salt and is still going strong. I almost always use artificial lures so tons of casting. I also have a Daiwa bg 2500 and you can certainly tell the difference after a day of casting.
