Just found this frog today in the garage and want to try it out.  I've never fished a frog yet, but cannot wait for my first top water bite.  Just curious if these frogs are good or is there something better for the price? $8-$10.

Plenty of strikes. Zero hookups. The prop/feet get in the way of the hooks. 

I caught one fish with it. Right after I made a terrible cast into the bushes. It was just dangling there. Go figure. 

I've had similar results, likes of strikes, very few hookups.  The amount of times it was blasted out of the water was frustrating.

I found the feet that spin would foul up with grass consistently. I'd fish an area with it and get zero bites. Retie a poppin frog and catch bass in the same area. 

Mine worked great for the first 10-15 fish, then the legs got bent and the feet didn't spin well after that.  Also if any small bit of moss or grass got in the feet they wouldn't spin.  Was worth the try.  Worked well in open water though for a while.

What are the best frogs to use and colors? I’m assuming by colors, the bottom of the frog color is the most important.

I named that tea bagging, but changed it to dipsy doo when I found out it meant something else. Works great with anything you can get to dangle on a low hanging branch. Now I need a new name for pegging.....
