Crankbaits are probably the biggest hole in my game. I mean there are things I don't throw but overall I have a pretty well rounded skill set. Don't get me wrong I throw cranks and do ok but I feel like crankbait fishing is kind of an art form...and I wanna dig into it. Anybody know of any books dedicated to cranking? Any articles that stick out in your mind? I'm looking at you...big time crankbait guys...and gals

I just went and looked.  I have bunches of fishing books but nothing dedicated to just crankbaits.

 

I'm also buying different crankbaits to try this year,  along with finesse stuff too.

There is the Guide to Crankbaits and Jerkbaits, published by B.A.S.S. as part of a series of books called the Ultimate Bass Fishing Library.

 

Lots of other books on bass fishing have chapters or sections devoted to crankbaits. 

Kinda wish David Fritts would write a cranking book

Probably a ton of good Rick Clunn or Paul Elias articles out there, these guys were a couple of the best with Crankbaits

This is what you want. Thorough, focuses on fundamentals, and gave me supreme confidence in cranks (it covers all species not just musky)

Highly recommend this book. It is much much more comprehensive than anything I've read on crankbait fishing and goes into great detail. 

 

Ol' Joe probably should have spent more money getting someone to proofread the book but despite the sometimes basic grammar mistakes this is one of the best fishing books.
