90% of the lakes I fish and that are in my area are electric only.  There are times I may want to take 4 people out on the lake so a small jon boat wont do I need something bigger like 16' or so.  What size trolling motor would you bow mount on that to at least get decent thrust?  

 

Most likely Ill be going 1754 or 1648 in the Grizzly tracker model.

Look into a stern rudder if you use a bow mount.

36v 110 would get you moving well.   Also the torqeedo is an electric outboard, but are really pricey.

torqueedo outboard would be the way to go if it is in the budget.  They are pretty awesome.  There is a guy local who has a 18+ foot modified V jon boat and his torqueedo outboard gets his boat on plane and he is able to cruise the electric only lakes with ease.  

I run a 80 lb on my 1448 and fish solo. I'd get the maximum lbs you can afford and feed with the batteries you have.

If this will help.  I run a 55lb 12V variable speed digital Motor Guide on my 850lb 17'6" aluminum with a 60 Yammie and 21 gallon gas tank.  The prop on it is pretty weedless and I use a 12V Deka Marine Size 27 with all the power I need on the river.  This battery weighs 59lbs.
