Hey guys I use primarily spinning rods (except for musky fishing) for all my fishing needs.  I have one BC it's a Shimano Chronarch 200 e7and it's maited to a SC Avid 66 MHF.  I was thinking to buying a SC LTB 68 MHF but am wondering if there will be any noticeable difference for the $$$??

Yes the Legend Tournament is a better blank (SCIV) versus the Avid is SCIII. Also the Legend Tournament has a better guide train. If possible, go with the Legend Tournament

Having fished one the old LTB rods and still having several Avids, when you compare sensitivity, it's about the same but the quality of the build on the LTB is better. 

 

I have not fished the 6'8'' MF in the LTB or Avid, I do have the Legend Elite version of this rod and find it to be one of my favorites.  I do have the 7' M Fast and MH Fast in the Avid and love both of these rods. 

 

For me, I too would go with the 6'8'' M Fast LTB unless you intend to fish jigs.  From what I recall, it's the ideal jerk bait rod. 

I have firsthand experience with the LTB 6’8” mh rod, I owned one. I sold it because it was the worst balanced rod I have had. I had a Curado K on it, and it was so tip heavy it would give me wrist problems at the end of the day. I also have a 6’6” Premier M, that I kept because it feels better than the LTB rod. The LTB rods are beautiful, and put together really well, but that model was not for me.

Having both, the LTB is a better blank with better components. So naturally it cost more.........
