Curado 300 e

Featured Replies

On my way to my favorite north woods Minnesota lake I stopped and a mom and pop bait shop that I like to look at what they have. I noticed that in reel case they have 2 brand new curado 300 E’s, one with a power handle on it as well as some brand new older model chronarchs. The 300’s are $200, I’ve got a handful of tranx but a lot of musky guys I know always tell me about how amazing of reels the old curado 300e’s were. Anyone here have experience with these reels? Really tempted to grab one on my way up this next weekend.

I have one on my main swimbait rod. It's the only one of my original Shimano reels that I've kept after switching to Daiwa. It's just a beast of a reel that cast great, reels smooth, and winches big fish in, everything you could ask for.

I used my 301E for many different baits, including some saltwater usage. I threw 10" hudds with it. I did change the drag over carbontex..And other than having it serviced regularly, due to fishing it at least 4 to 6 days a week, never had a problem with it, wish I still had it.

So, yeah, buy em up if you can. If they have a 301E grab it and I'll buy it from ya.
