No clue, but I use heat shrink tubing if I use anything at all.

The hair bands do not cut into the worm. But if left on the worm for too long they do stretch and do not hold the body as tight.

I stab my senkos with the hook. 

 

 

I've only really used the Bill-O Wacky tool with the rubber rings.  They work fine, and do seem to prolong the life.  Eventually, all senkos tear, especially after catching fish or fishing heavy cover.

Motley Crue, Poison, Def Leppard, Skid Row, Ratt, Whitesnake, Warrant, etc. have probably tore up their fair share of hotel rooms, not real sure about tearing up Senkos though.

I’m so glad I don’t own or fish with Senkos... Not sure how you get any sleep worrying about these little details. What about wrapped bread ties with their protective wire coating? Or maybe tiny dental rubber bands? ?

I use O rings, every time I pull a worm back out I use the hook to move the o ring just a little bit, after a year or so, if I didn't loose it in a tree, the worm will crack and I get out another...

With one oring they don’t really tear they just fly off easier and usually do

Its not the bait, its not the hook, its not the O-ring, its you!

I haven't experienced that.  Sounds like you're using wrong size O-ring.

I use 1/4 “ id od 3/8” of course they also come off when the fish jump

Stop letting them jump.

So i used 2 this year to secure it and increase hook up ratio pb is 7 fish then after it ripped mid cast

You caught seven fish, have an increased hook up ratio, and all on one senko and a couple o-rings.  

 

So, what is the problem?

You have to submerge rod tip, at least two feet under surface.

Its either hair bands or using doubled orings that are one size larger

Idk man it sounds like you've got the o-rings dialed in pretty well if you're getting 7 fish off one Senko.

 

Mine usually tear after 2 - 4 fish when I wacky rig. 

What is this fascination with wacky rigging and O rings?
