Crankbaits- Silent or rattles?

Featured Replies

What’s your perimeters on which you throw? Mainly the 1.5 or 2.5 square bills.  Is it water color, structure/cover type, season or all the above.

Try both. Bass will tell you. Last night they wouldn't touch silents, only rattling.

I tend to throw rattles in restricted vision times like muddy water or cloudy/rainy conditions and silent on sunny days or cleaner water.

Dang, I was all excited thinking we were going to talk about lipless......sigh.....?

The bass will tell you what they want in a lipless crankbait.

The rule is silent in the winter and rattles in the summer.

But in bass fishing, rules do not matter.

Do they even make a lipless without rattles??

Caught them on lipless, silent, and rattles today. Fish didn’t seem to care.
