Any interest by BR members in antique wooden lures pre 40' to 1900's, vintage lures and bait casting reels '50's-60's era. I can offer some tackle to members if there is enough interest.

I dunno about rods/reels but very old plugs, especially, very often command prices way outside of my price range for me to ever be a serious collector.  I'm still waiting to discover an old barn out in the woods with all sorts of antiques inside.  Perhaps in my next lifetime.

Unless you have original packaging, those lures might sell better framed, like a display. Framing is not cheap though, so you'd be making an investment that might not pay off.

Thanks Tom for offering up some of your prized possescions (?) that you have kept for years. That must be hard to do. I have a few 40's & 50's baits, but most of mine are from the 70's & 80's. I hope you can find them a new home for someone else to enjoy. I love looking at baits, now matter how old they are.

PS, a member wants to buy everything and there is enough extras to make displays.

Let me know if you're having difficulty selling these to members.  There's an antique bass lure club in my neck of the woods, and I'm sure there would be some interested buyers there.

I'm interested in trying to fish some old lures.  My guess is that they work almost as well as modern ones and that always chasing the next big bait is mostly a waste of time.
