Made some feather jigs. Will they catch fish?

Featured Replies

Winter boredom has me thinking of making some lures. I got the feather idea and used jigs I had laying around and came up with these. Feathers are from hobby lobby and seem to hold up good to water in testing in the sink but I dont know what they are made of. They were 99 cents for each color on the end of a stick in the artificial flower section of the store.

Do they look like they will catch fish? I tied them with some thin ire from the same store and epoxied over the wire.

Fred, I know I ribbed you about your cheap lure thread but just like those hard bait these will also get’em!

I do something similar with silicone skirts and zonker strips.

I think you got some winners there!

Thanks.  I am dying to throw these. Winter is driving me nuts but I am going to have a ton of stuff to try out by time the water ice melts.
