I've got a skilsaw worm-drive jobsite table saw, i'm not sure if it is the exact model you mention, but i love it. the fence on it works well and is very accurate. if you are just using it for home projects it is more than enough. I've had it for about 4 years now and love it.

Have Bosch table saw - paid a ton for it 15 years ago and it has never let me down since. As for the blades, I used Diablo blades - which Bosch owns. Bosch sold off the Skil division a few years ago.

 

I cannot comment on the drills/impact drivers from Bosch as the ones I have I don't really use much but the 1/2 adapter on the impact driver is a nice touch. The X-Lock grinder Bosch came up with I wish they would license to the other manufacturers.

 

Side note: I am not really brand loyal but I can be - I work for Bosch. And yes, our discounts are amazing but I cannot resell. Plus not losing my job over that silly stuff.

 

 

 

 

I like Makita also. We have drills, impact guns, and hammer drills by Makita. Currently we use a Dewalt portable table saw. Accurate for a job site saw, and light weight also. Bosch is part of Skill tools now. I've used a few Bosch tools, and they seem good. As mentioned, you might check out the Bosch worm drive table saw. Looks like a good product

Also note - all 10" job site saws like  SKILSAW SPT70WT-01, Bosch GTS1031, DeWalt DW745 and etc. are no longer produced due to new safety guidelines, they are all 8 1/4" blades in the updated versions.

I can walk into a Lowes or Home Depot and have my choice of new 10" table saws; Bosch, Dewalt, Craftsman, Delta, Rockwell, Ryobi, Kobolt. Dunno where you heard the downsize from, but it obviously hasn't hit the stores yet.

 

The three specific models you mentioned are still for sale at Lowes in 10".

I think he's referencing UL 62841-3.  The reg states that a table has to be a certain size for blade diameter to increase.  It led to many compact table saws being updated to a 8 1/4 inch blade.  For those size saws, it's probably a good idea, TBH.
