Does anyone use a weedless chatterbait as offered by Z-Man for example or others? If so what, what is your opinion or feelings about them? Thanks.

    I use the project z in timber. I fan out the weed guard to get better hookups. straight out of the box I have missed a few fish.

    I threw one a bunch last season and landed a few fish on it.  I didn't notice a difference in hookup but allowed me to fish a little more around wood.

    Like others said, they help around wood.  The weed guards don't seem to cause any more issues than the weed guards on a jig.
