Im a musky guy through and through. I plan on getting a 9ft telescopic Tackle industries Pro in XH (2-8oz), paired up with a Tranx400hg and 80 lb braid with a flaurocarbon leader. My question is: would this rod be good for fishing swimbaits for big bass on occasion?

What kind of swim baits? There's quite the variety.

A little bit of everything. I'd be mostly fishing soft baits with beast style hooks, but I also would throw hard swimbaits on occasion.

If the lure weight will load and cast the rod, absolutely.
