Under spins from 1 dollar Walmart Spinner lures

Featured Replies

I saw a topic here that gave me the idea of making jigs from these. I added the spinning leaf to the under of the jjig by drilling a small hole and jamming it in with Epoxy. Also epoxy the line tie area to cover potential sharp edges. I dont think they will last too long and if a fish bites it may lose the spinner leaf part but for 1 dollar I take a chance. Worst can happen they break and become regular jig heads.

Heck yeah those will work Fred. Of course the blade would spin more freely with a good bb swivel.

That's a legit hack that I will probably steal but I would not trust Walmart budget bin hooks. ?

I have transformed 2 wrecked (by pike) spinnerbaits into bladed jigs using the same bend you did Fred. They work.

I haven’t those.... but I buy the spinners and buzz baits from there, I look harder next time I’m there. Can’t beat them for a dollar. I’ve found good deals in the clearance section too.
