A little better...

Went back out to the ponds I've been hitting since ice out this year...caught about 15 trout again. My persistence paid off finally...got myself a nice 3.16lb largemouth. May not be anything to write home about but that first good one of the year always feels great!

Congrats.  Looks like it is time to get my son out for a little fishing around Ames.

Nice catching!

3 lbs is (to me) the start of a good fish. And they often fight above their weight. I’m always happy catching 3 lb’ers!

3lbs is a good fish in any of the lakes I fish and deserves a congrats.
