Most productive color combinations for Jigs?

Featured Replies

Start with more natural colors for your area.
green pumpkin is a great choice for most lakes. Go fishing. A lot. Eventually you will catch some bass that puke up what they just ate. Go buy that color. A lot.

Wait ,To make your own skirts ? Or to buy pre made jigs ?

You can’t go wrong with the strike King structure jig in green pumpkin

I'd say the same, use a lot of pumpkin green. black/orange do a greaaat job too here in southern Canada, and the blue/black colors too

I always laughed at Gerald Swindle's advice: "I throw a brown Jig, if that don't work, I throw a black jig.  If that don't work, I go back to the brown jig."

Of course I think he now endorses a Gman jig or somesuch, but still sound advice!

can't go wrong with black n blue, straight green pumpkin or Pb&J with a purple trailer.

Solid black, GP, and brown or some combination of the three.
