Also what’s the best hook for wacky rigs?

Dunno the first, never use Octopus hooks

 

For wacky - I use Owner SSW hooks...same hooks I use for Drop-Shot...sized to the plastic used.

How do you set the hook? Do you just reel

Mainly - sometime with a soft sweep to the side...not a hard 'jerk' like you would with a spinner or chatter.

Depends on the size plastic I'm using.

a RI Little Dipper - #1

a 3" Craw gets a 1/0 as it's bulkier

 

Worms get off-set worm hooks though - Zoom Finesse, 4" Berkley Power Worms, etc - 2/0

Lift and reel with exposed octopus hook.

My mistake - I was mind-set on drop-shot from my earlier post.

No problem. Is there an alternative to this? That is weedless I’m okay with those but prefer weedless also

If I'm tossing in the 'cabbage' and want weedless - Owner Weedless Wacky hooks.
