Which do you prefer?

Featured Replies

I was going  get the hula popper but now I saw the Rebel Crick Hopper Popper which do you prefer I’m thinking with all the cicadas the second one might be good but I’d like to ask before buying one

try it!  they both should do fine.  like you said, the rebel crick hopper can mimic those cicadas well, which may add more bites.  as long as it spits water like any popper should, it can catch fish.

Rebel makes the Bumblebug in cicada pattern. I have one and another in Junebug.

Dumb things are everywhere around here right now, don't recall having this many 17 years ago. Haven't seen an increase in the top water bite though.

Haven't see or heard any around here this year. I've seen other 17 year hatches that were pretty crazy.

Same here, Last Thursday I saw dozens of them buzzing around in the water but never saw one get blown up on.  Oddly, I still got a few hits on a popper.

If you can find them anywhere, I bet these would be great for those with the cicada hatches right now. I have one, but no cicadas...
