He selfishly traveled the globe performing for millions of American troops stationed overseas through four wars. I "almost" got to go to one of his many shows he did in Vietnam while I was there on a government expense paid vacation in 1969-1970... But unfortunately duty called and I could not go.

He was indeed a special man.

    It’s sad to think that so many people here and elsewhere would say “Who” when they hear his name.
