BPS catalog '21

Featured Replies

If you ordered one online did you ever receive it? I ordered a master fishing catalog but never showed up.

I ordered mine and I think it was roughly three weeks later that I got it. That was in mid swing of COVID too.

I don't remember when I ordered my Master Catalogue - but I've had it for at least a couple months now.

I didn't order a BPS master catalog but they sent me one back in late January or early February.

Just curious - assuming we're talking about printed catalogs - with lead times on printed publications, along with supply chain and shipping disruptions, what's the advantage of a printed catalog vs. going online where you can search/filter ability and near real-time inventory info on a per-store basis?

You can throw them at the kids on your lawn...

The BPS website search function isn't especially good, so it's usually easier to peruse the physical catalog and then use the website for stock status and ordering.  BPS has had decades of experience putting together well organized physical catalogs.

I've had mine since January or February.

The BPS website is awful: almost as frustrating an experience as going to the store. The only advantage is that on the website I don't have to see or interact with my fellow customers at all, nor do I have to go to Sevier County.

So I just don't buy anything from them.

Three, or four, years ago, while passing by Springfield, Missouri, on the way to Branson, the following conversation occurred.

Wife: want to stop at Bass Pro Shops?

Me: why would I want to do that?

Wife: just checking.

Me: OK. Why? Did you want to stop?

Wife: why would I want to do that?

Me: OK

I never ordered one since I rarely go there.  The occasional online order if I get desparate enough.
