so I have a older rod that I just realized the rod tip slipped off. I was wondering if anyone recommends a certain glue to slide it back on the blank? thanks for your time guys, you all have helped me a ton, and have gotten me back into fishing a ton!

I would expect any type of epoxy would work but, in a transparency, i've never had to do that.  Dr. Google says anything from super glue to hot glue (unless it's salt water).

Hot melt glue. This way, you can reheat it and replace it again if you need to

Epoxy will work, but if the tip needs to be replaced again the blank will have to be cut. Tip glue, which is similar to hot glue is inexpensive and the right thing to use.

 oh its not like the tip is broken, kinda think of it like a bottle  cap I guess, its an older reel and you can put it back on the rod but it has come of from old age I assume. will try some of this and will think about hot glue

okay super glue or hot glue, nice. yeah its just a freshwater bass rod and its a flipping stick and the guide isnt broken or anything it just slipped off, (The tip slipped off)

This is basically the same product that Flex Coat sells just for the job

find a rod tip repair kit, make sure to find the right sized rod tip for the blank

 

I think I use the Eagle Claw version (comes with multiple sizes and a melt glue)

 

edit: just realized you still have the rod tip :P.  any melting glue will work. 

Hot glue is what the custom rod builders use here.  Expectation is that the tip will be replaced.  The other guides are tied and epoxied, not the tip.
