7 foot 3 medium spinning rod lures

Featured Replies

Whatsup guys first post here. I recently bought a 7 foot 3 medium spinning rod to expand the arsenal. I specifically purchased it for wacky rigs and put 30lb PP to a 10# fluoro leader. Curious what other lures you guys recommend I can use for this setup.

you can use shaky head, And also small crankbait and jerkbait, Also plastics rip bait like flukes and so list go on.

This rod and set up you make is very versatile and you have lots of options.

I recently spooled all my spinning rods with 10lb bright yellow PowerPro braid, then to 10lb fluoro leader. Love it!

I run everything from weightless Senko's, to NED, to drop shot and shaky-heads.

Good luck!

I just purchased a 7'3" myself and plan to use it predominantly for shaky heads but will probably also be used for light texas rigs(1/8 & 3/16) with craws and lizards when needed.

I use a 7'4 medium for dropshots, and small swimbaits, mostly.

As already noted - wacky, shaky, light T-Rig, soft swimbaits.

I'd add to that - small jerkbaits and light finesse jigs

Neds I go lighter - L/F is my main Ned rod, ML/F is my general finesse rod which I can toss Neds on.
