Cleaning EVA Foam

Featured Replies

So, it's not something I would ever purchase myself due to this reason, but I ended up with an Abu Garcia PLX rod through a warranty replacement (free upgrade tho yay!).  It's a really nice rod, so I've ended up using it a lot.  Problem is, unlike the original Veritas series, the foam around the handle is white and gets quite dirty.  Is there any way to clean this material?

Might want to try Dawn dish soap and water. I wouldn't try any aggressive cleaners or solvents.

Gentle soap and water is what's recommended.

Mine are stained orange from the rust colored water I fish in.  I don't even worry about cleaning them.  They'll go back to orange the next time I use them.

I treat mine with fish slime and river mud whenever they collect too much dust in the garage.

Simple Green and warm water.

You could also cover with a Wynn’s Wrap and eliminate the white color.

Go over it with a sharpie. It won't be white anymore, and you'll never think about it again
