I skipped school to hunt and fish in high school.  Primarily to hunt because I could fish all summer when class was not in session.  I was a straight A student in HS and my grades never suffered so missing a class here or there made zero difference.

 

I did not skip classes in college because I was literally paying to be there.  Quite a bit too I would add.
