SS Bearing Storage Question

Featured Replies

I just upgraded some of my reels to hybrid ceramic bearings. I don't want to get rid of the stock bearings. I want to clean them, after cleaning... should I re oil them or store them dry.

If they’re inside in a warm dry spot they’ll be fine. If they’re in a shop or garage that will see fluctuations in temp and humidity oil them for sure.

Thanks for the fast reply, bearings will be stored in my office.

I always keep them oiled a little bit, nothing worse then really needing that one bearing, only to find its seized up on you
