Lake Toho boat rentals?

Featured Replies

We're taking a family trip to Kissimmee at the end of May and I'm anxious to fish Lake Toho. I'm looking for bass boat (or similar) rentals on the lake, but all I can find are guided charters. Does anyone know if there are boat rentals available? I'm hoping to make it a nice father-son outing and don't really want a guide along with us.

Thanks!

ToHo will be a tough lake on your own.

Understood. This outing will be primarily to spend quality time with my son. Fishing is the excuse to do it!

I do not know of any boat rentals on Lake Toho.  Your best bet would be to hire a local guide of which there are many to choose from.  There is a good bass lake in Orlando where rental boats are available.  If fact, it's the only way you can fish it.   It's at Bill Frederick Park.   Here's a link to their website  https://www.orlando.gov/Parks-the-Environment/Directory/Bill-Frederick-Park-At-Turkey-Lake

I moderate a Ranger Boats page on FB and I am seeing ads for a company that rents out fully rigged bass boats for Okeechobee but he may be willing to let one go to Toho.  Google search it around Okeechobee and see if it pops up.  If I see it again I’ll post it.

Thanks for the replies. I'll look into the rentals at Okeechobee. I was thinking about going down there for a day, as well. I used to live in the Stuart/Port St. Lucie area and haven't fished Okeechobee in over 30 years.

I did find a web site for a company that rents fishing boats primarily on East Toho and their web site says they will also rent West Toho. I'm still looking into them and could end up with a guided trip. I've got time to decide. The company I'm looking at is here. https://recreationalwatersports.com/boats/

Thanks again!
