For senkos and shaky heads - my Fury 703SF is my 'go to' rod.

For drop-shot and neds - it's my Fury 702SF - though you could probably use the 703SF for those as well.

thank you!!

Call Dobyns at 903 919 8028 & ask them for help.

I use a 693 Dobyns Sierra for all of the things you listed and it works great, I'd have no concerns with a Fury 3 power

Are you settled on a Dobyn's?  The reason I ask is that last year I bought a Fury 703SF and was disappointed with it.  I returned it and bought a SC Mojo Bass and have been very pleased.  I'm not trying to make this a SC vs Dobyn's just my experience.

@heartpats,  got you.  I wasn't knocking Dobyn's rods BTW I was just disappointed in the Fury line.

do you mind letting me know which model of the mojo bass you bought? im starting to lean towards the mojo bass.

@heartpats, I believe I got the 68 or 610 MHF.

Fury 703sf as @MN Fisher said .. love the tip on the 3 powers .

703SF is the one I'd choose. The ideal rod for Senkos. Being that Dobyns has softer tips, I don't think even a dropshot or a 5" shakyhead would be out of question for it. You'll love that rod! Do yourself a favor and pair it with a NASCI or Fuego LT 3000 models! It might just be your do it all rod. Pond Hopper special.

I have a Dobyns FR663SF. No issues with it for me. Use it for senkos, ned rigs, texas rigs, etc, etc; essentially any single hook setup. But I've also been thinking, I remember growing up using one rod. Probably a fast action with no more than 8lb mono. Used single and treble hook spinners, jigs, poppers, other top water, banjo minnow, Bill's worms, crankbaits; basically everything. Recently I've been telling myself to not complicate things so much. Maybe change up the power of the rod depending on species and size of fish you catch, but don't overthink too much. Hope this helps

Haha. Helpful.  I’d never call them. They would never suggest a Phenix rod instead.

I think all my Dobyns rods have the ideal use printed on the rod itself.  I’d would go with the. 3 power. Comfy grip for sure on that rod. And the bait holder hook is in a decent position for me.
