Tournament Fishermen Licenses

Featured Replies

For these tournament anglers who fish in many different states, what do they do for licenses? Do they just get 7 day licenses in whichever state they're fishing that week?

Yes, Unless I know I’ll be there more than once in the year, or it’s not late in any given year, then I’ll get a 3 or 7 day depending on what they allow and how many days the tournament is.

I don’t fish tourneys much but fish different states. You’ve got to get a temporary depending on the state, some offer one day, some only offer 3 day, some a week, etc. I think I had to get a 14 day for South Carolina, that was the shortest available. I heard one story of a bass elite series angler getting disqualified because he didn’t have the correct Canadian license in the st Lawrence event
