Just got my first Float tube, Going to make updates here about it.As first impression I just need to say it is heavier than what I was thinking it would be, But the quality is very good and I can feel that is one heavy duty float tube.

I changed the fins, to outcast V shape. They are way lighter. pair of this weight same as one US Rocket. Also I have my mustang life jacket here it is 38.

I went out for first time with my float tube, How the heck people can do it with fins, I didn't bring the oars with me and I taught I would be fine right? NO the wind blow me from one bank to other bank :), So I need to get down and use the rope to tide my float tube to a pole and walk back to my car and bring the car to that side to get my float tube.

That was a good day on water and I enjoy the ride in general. Any tip for using fins will be appreciate.

At least I could get a nice picture of my float tube from the bank :)

You may not like what I'm going to say, but here goes anyway. Those fins you have, the force fins are JUNK. Trust me, I tried a pair and after 1 outing, I sold them, and split fin scuba fins.

What is the hard part about fins your referring to ?

Put on your fins before entering the water, walk backwards with your tube going first in the water, once your in deep enough water, just sit down, do whatever straps you have to apply and your tray, then start kicking. One thing to Never do is, to have your tray undone and move your weight to the rear of the tube, I've seen a few guys fall in the water over their heads..waders full of water is not good..lol

then start kicking

Yup I start kicking but I didn't move LOL and it wasn't high wind, it was a breeze, I am sure oars will work. Now I am thinking maybe it is because of my fins, they are no good.

As I suggested in your first post, get some good scuba fins, I prefer the split fins, much easier on the legs. Plus, they get you moving.

X5 said the experienced belly boater. Get a set of diving fins with booties from a dive shop or used.
