You'll find out on the next cast or hookset following the high stick.  If there has resy happened then you are golden.

If you have already cast or set the hook after the high stick and the rod didn't die right then and there then you are in the clear.

No, but if you like nice rods (especially those of the XF variety) you need to look it up.

It's when you pull back past approx a 80 degree angle with your tip up high. Guys go past 90 and explode rods then ask why.
