Thank you! I’m going to get some replacement spools. I’m thinking an HLC spool to start

Boost spool would be the one you want - HLC spool is 36 mm dia.

Thank you! Also, not getting the reel today. I failed my drivers test which was the reason for buying. Smh

I have a Steez SV and that reel is super light and casts beautifully. I don't have experience with the Steez A, but if you go with the Steez SV it is unlikely that you will be disappointed.

How would the p5 super destroyer do with chatterbaits 1/2 oz and under? If it will, I see no reason not to get this rod. I am short, so I find I have more control with rods under 7’3” and the super destroyer, from what I have found can (key word CAN) fish jigs, Texas rigs, Buzzbaits, larger spinnerbaits, wakebaits, oversized squarebills, large walking baits, and more…

Getting the new Steez A TW II 2023

i believe it is the best as far as technology on daiwa, right? Still planning on using it for the same techniques however it will be better than the other steez reels as far as the versatility because of the spool.

The difference between the two reels is the frame MOC - aluminum for Steez A, and lighter magnesium for Steez SV TW - the difference is 30 g - 1 ounce (160 v. 190 g).

Steez A weighs the same as Zillion, and has a couple more ball bearings, including the LW worm.

Other than the ounce of weight, there are no differences between Steez A and Steez SV TW.

So both Steez models will fish like a Zillion SV TW?

I've been holding out for a new model Steez SV TW, but if the A II is the same reel might as well just try one of those.

@AlabamaSpothunter no, there's also a difference in the spool and braking profile, also.

SV uses lighter rotor and stronger magnets, while Steez A uses Magforce-Z brakes.

Thank you for pointing that out. I completely blanked that fact ??‍♂️ I like to fish lighter baits too, so now I have a decision to make. Steez A TW 2 or the zillion SV TW G. Or I could always get an sv boost spool after getting the Steez ?‍♂️

Ok. I actually have the rod now. I believe it would be a wise decision to get the Steez A as the rod is rated for heavier lures. I could always purchase an SV boost spool and have to same performance as a zillion sv TW g.
