How do you repair a hollow body frog?

Featured Replies

I have a collection of frogs that large fish have pulled the hooks completely or partly out of the body;  can't get them back in.  Can it even be done?

If the body isn't torn then, yes it can be done. I'm assuming these are HOLLOW bodied frogs. It's easiest for me to get the hook back in position when I still have the bait tied on. I use the line as a pull point to maintain slight but steady pressure as I feed the hook back through the frog.

Lubricate the rubber with gel type attractant (MegaStrike) push the hook back in place.

That's another sensible idea, thankyou WRB.

Can't believe I said "holly" body frogs, what an embarrassing typo!

If you have any tears in the frog (up here pike can be pests) Mend-It works well to repair the slices in the plastic.
