Polishing spinnerbait blades

Featured Replies

I was out the other day and noticed some fishing line dangling from a tree. I decided to see what was at the end. It led to a Culprit Spinnerbait stuck under the water. Couldnt have been there too long, maybe a few days. The blades( chrome willow leaf)are discolored. How can I bring a shine back to them? Does the shine /flash really makes a difference or is vibration more of a factor when fishing a spinner bait?

Imo, the vibration is the most important part, but flash is still important.  I would clean them up best I could.  Never heard of culprit spinnerbaits.

Use toothpaste to clean it.

It might sound stupid, but toothpaste defiantly works.  My willow leafs prefer crest.

Ketchup will do a passable job of polishing but Semi Chrome is the best polish I have used.
