Vicious No Fade Braid

I'm thinking of trying it. It has great reviews but I need some from you guys. It's an 8 strand and supposed to be really slick and quiet through the guides. Everything I've seen says it hardly fades at all. So has anybody here tried it ?

No experience with the Vicious no fade, but I've been VERY happy with the Fins Infinity. It's colorfast black, slick, and super quiet through the guides. Quieter than 131. It's on several of my moving bait rods now, and will be going on the rest of 'em. I'll be sticking with 832 for bottom contact and pitching cover. I've tried a bunch of braids and I'm 100% happy with these two.

It's truly no-fade. You could scratch it with your fingernail as hard as you can, and you won't find a hint of color in your fingernail.

It's quiet and slick, but not the slickest. If I were in a casting contest, it won't be my first choice, but it's very strong and abrasion resistant.

Its diameter is a bit thicker than it claims, but it's quite round. So dig-in problem is not that serious. So far, it's one of my favorite braids, right next to Fanatic Pro braid.

Fins has been no fade for 30 years....just saying.

Tom

I have and use both Fins and Vicious. The fins sling braid is great for a very smooth 8-carrier. Vicious is a little more rough, but a little more abraision resistant.

I still use fins on spinning, but for casting the Vicious is a better fit for me, partially because the color is better IMO (the fins dark green isn't dark) and partially because I fish around a lot of weeds.

Still using fins on spinning in bright colors.

They both really don't fade. The first time I tried a no-fade I knew I'd never go back.
