Keitech FAT Swing Impact 2.8" : Weighted EWG Swimbait Hook ?

Featured Replies

For the smallest Keitech FAT Swing Impact swimbaits (2.8") - what brand and size weighted swimbait hooks for a weedless option are you using ?  ... At a quick glance , the Owner Flashy Swimmer in the smallest 1/0 size may work (probably better on the Keitech FAT 3.3" though) ... Your thoughts and experiences for a weighted , weedless hook rigging option for the Keitech FAT 2.8" ?

I use the Hayabusa WRM958WT Extra Wide Gap Weighted Hook with Screw Lock in a 3/0. Their hook is more like a 2/0 and fits the 2.8 well.

Use the ewg hook of your choice and crimp a weight on it.

At that size, I prefer a jig head. A SIF has a sweet spot for the hook to come through. Any further back and you’re into the tail. But they are thick so you need a really short shank and really extra wide gap to rig it texposed. In those cases, I prefer a jig head.

I use keitech jig head 1/16 on a 2.8..

And a crazy glue.

*Good comments ... The 2.8" is perhaps most deadly on a small jig head with a #2 or #1 size hook making it easier to rig .

Try the War Eagle Grubber head, I think you will like it

i do it all wrong.  i texas rig them.  pegged weight.

i dont have a lot of rods.  i like sliding the peg up, and putting on a worm.  makes for a quick bait/presentation change.
