  1. I posted some months ago about finding a replacement for the St. Croix sweeper spinner bait rod I use for my night time fishing and someone said to look at the Physyx line up, well Thorne Brothers had a sale early in Feb. I believe and I purchased the PHYX70MHMF and put it to use for 3-4 weeks this spring and was very impressed throwing 1/2 oz baits. The castability, action & sensitivity are even better in my opinion. At the price they had I wish I bought several.
  2. I paid it, if not I was taking a chance of accruing more fees, shipping, restocking, and fees from DHL. It was a loss with no reel so I paid it. I ordered one about 4 years ago and never a problem JDM Tackle heaven
  3. My experience is bad, I ordered a reel through JDM and DHL wanted a duty fee/ tariff of $188. I kid you not. This is not what I would call Winning! Last time I order anything internationally
  4. Throw a spinnerbait
  5. Tie the braid to the real handle and wind tight, then tie your leader to it, it's that simple.
  6. If conditions are right a F13 black and silver and or blue and white original floating top water rapala,
  7. Colorado single blade spinnerbait
  8. That's what I thought, Thanks, they make it confusing when you're not used to dealing with it. While I have you hear you wouldn't happen to have part numbers for replacement power grip knobs for the JDM 100 XG would you, having trouble locating that.
  9. is there a difference in the JDM than the 100xg from Digitaka or are they the same. I would assume it is a jdm since it is from digitaka
  10. I was just looking into that a bit more and seen that. The metanium 100 has brass gears. Only the shallow edition has aluminium gears.
  11. Thinking of buying a Metanium, researching is confusing comparing the different reels. I am leading to a 150 MGLXB from the american market with a capacity of 12/110. Accoring to the 23 Metanium 100XG there is line capacity of 12/120 which indicates appr. 30 more feet of line capacity if I am reading there specs right, the only other difference in these two reels I can make out is the 150 MGL B has the brass gears and the 23 Metanium does not. price for 23 Metanium with tariffs is 283.40 and price for 150 MGL B is 489.99, difference of 206.59. Is it worth to have the brass gears for the additional price? Your thoughts and opinions please, Thanks
  12. I’d have to say spinner bait for me as well

I wouldn't be surprised if the price never gets back to where it should be.
  16. Seen this Today, thought I would share.
  17. Looking into the Physix rod as mentioned above I believe is the rod I am looking for, A little pricey but I can settle with that price, Thanks for the help everyone, much appreciated!
  18. Thanks for the advice, I'll look into it.
  19. I have been using the St. Croix Legend LBC70MHMF sweeper spinnerbait rod for several years exclusively for 1/2 oz spinner baits and trailer while night fishing, to me the rod is spot on, I've been looking for another and just seen that the Mojo Trigon in model # JOC70MHMF is the replacement for the Legend model, anyone know the reasoning for the change from the legend to the mojo, which is a cheaper model and will I get the same performance in the Mojo as I currently have in the Legend model. The legend is a awesome rod IMO. Thanks
  20. Funny how we get away from some of the old tried and true tactics we used to use with the advent of all the new baits and techniques around. I used to fish that technique all the time years back and my rod was a 6' Fenwick Mach III 2 piece combo and just dragged it around and slight popping action when needed, and that would usually entice a strike, caught a lot of fish using that. I still have that setup in the rod rack, I should pull it out and put it back in use.
  21. War Eagle and Stan Sloan
  22. heat shrink tubing
  23. Rain/Storms in the spring with the low pressure it brings is the trigger for the bigger fish to turn on, if I'm on the lake when they are in forecast I want to make note of available docks to get into if I can't get back to the dock where I am staying, Any severe storms in forecast definitely watch the sky and radar and always stay near enough to get back safely as the storms can pop up quick.
  24. I prefer the casting model for my shakey head fishing, I have a 742C SH extreme paired with a Daiwa Alphas CT SV, it is a awesome rod for 1/8 oz shakey head, that is my main use for it, spool it with braid and a flouro leader and you can feel them breathe on it.
