  1. I have two pair, wiley X & Costa, they are expensive but worth it
  2. I agree, especially as we are getting older, Personally I prefer overcast days and night fishing
  3. Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce, vadalia onion & fresh slice tomatoes,
  4. I lapped both my VX5 HD's, one on my 270 and other on my 260
  5. Right now it is my T/C 270 as soon as i get a load worked up it will be my T/C 260 REM.
  6. california style garlic powder
  7. Barnes all the way!
  8. I have a pair of Costa & Wiley X prescription sunglasses. I prefer the Wiley X better, too me they have a sharper and clearer lense than the Costa. Beware, they are not cheap, but worth it too me.
  9. Minimal light as others stated, go by feel to prevent backlash which means a lot of practice and time on the water
  10. Try the War Eagle Grubber head, I think you will like it
  11. Nite time spinner bait fishing!
  12. I use the top water floating rapala every spring, lays on my deck religiously waiting for the right time. When they are on that bait you can't beat it.
  13. Last spring @ Table Rock the lake came up 10', all within a 2-3 days, I thought only to be wrong it would a couple days for the bass to orientate their selves to the higher water, a buddy and I found them in the very back of flooded coves off of the main channels, where water had gone up into the draws where the power lines were located. The creeks where we were, that was another story, flooded timber everywhere. We caught some dandys all on spinnerbaits
  14. Nothing like fishing for old bucket mouth at nite, very intense and brings out all of your senses
  15. I have the Alphas ct sv 70sh and tatula sv tw 103hs
  16. Are those bearings you mentioned for the alphas and the sw tw 103? If so which one do I need, on the ZPL website it shows 2 reels daiwa and shimano, and a part number for each, when I look at tackle trap it shows several different bearing sets , so somewhat confused.
  17. A little too late, but the white bass are plentiful that time of year, they will get right on the banks of wind blown points on main lake and in the creeks, , I preferably like finding them in the creeks and hook up with some hybrids while fishing for whites. Get rid of that red meat and you have some real good table fare
  18. Try tying the two overhand knots in the other direction, if your going over go under, if going under go over

  20. Thought i'd let you know. I paired up a Dobyns Extreme 742c with a Daiwa Alphas SV 70 for my shakey head and senkos , It's like a extension of my fingers, I'll add some suffix with a flouro leader and I'll feel them breathe on it. A beautiful set up for sure. I have 5 Dobyns now in my arsenal, Thanks for the advice.
  21. where do you get the larger handles for them
  22. I have a Dobyns Extreme 744 for football jigs. Awesome rod for they say 1/2-3/4 oz. I think it's sweet spot is 1/2 oz. I plan on getting the 745 for 3/4 oz. and up.
  23. Here in Mo. you get after them young greys and red squirrels, or yearlings as some call them when they get to cutting acorns and hickory nuts in early and mid fall, skin them out , quarter them up, little salt, little pepper and a little oil, a bit of flour and fry them not slow but somewhat moderate. absolutely delicious and tender along with some gravy. Some people hunt them in the early season after memorial day as they get onto the mulberries but beware of ticks galore
  24. Yes sir, A Table Rock fisherman I am. Thanks again
