Featured Replies

Anyone know how I can obtain a spool "Tension Knob" for my H20 Ethos HD bait casting reel. Please advise. Many thanks in advance.

I would just contact Academy direct - let them know the model and ask for part number C091 (according to the schematic).

I contacted Academy. They do not know anything about how to obtain a replacement part for this reel. I even contacted their Customer Service Corp office, and they are not sure. Just wondering who manufactures these reels. If anyone knows please advise. Many thanks in advance.

You could also try one from a doybns maverick or kastking crixus reel since they appear very similar but aren't the same platform.

This is one of the problems with oem reels.  Once the brand name on the outside that sold you the reel stops supporting it then you are left in the dark.  Looks most like a zpi alcance, savage gear sg or kistler reel platform or from the same oem as those reels but its not a match.  Tough one.  You'd just the throwing money at random knobs from reels that sort of look like yours.  Do you have other reels to try out knobs from?  Just to eliminate which brands don't fit.

Take your reel from Academy to the reel rack at Academy and start trying out different caps and see if you find a match? Ask one of the fishing dept/sales guys to help you.

Good luck,

FM

Seems like a Banax made reel. Probably some kastking/piscifun ones are compatible with it. This reel is almost identical to the Lurestar C9 Air.

The OP just needs to check his personal messages and he will be good.  ?
