2023 Bass Tracker Classic XL wiring question

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

New to boating and this forum. I recently purchased a 2023 Tracker classic XL and I was told there's pre-ran wires in the front under the carpeted plate to hook up a fish finder without running cables down the boat to the battery? I tried googling and couldn't find anything. Is this true?

Before I go taking off the front carpeted plate I would like to know for sure.

I'm wanting to mount a bow depth finder is why I'm asking. Thank you in advance for your response and Hi everyone!

I don't know for sure on the Classic XL. The PT175's do but even with those depending on what unit you're going to run, you may have to run bigger wires. Easies way to find out is to take out the 10 or so screws that hold that piece on and have a look. If nothing else you could run some splices from your front navigation light base. The switch would have to be on in order for the locator to be on, but there wouldn't be any additional power draw unless the lights were plugged in. Being that it's new, I wouldn't jump to that option though.

Best bet would be to ask your dealer and also ask him the wire size and if it’s already fused. They should be glad to help. Also some will do the install for free if you purchase the unit from them.

I have a 2020 classic. The fused wires are there and ready to go.

Remove eight screws and cover comes up easily.

Just remember the trolling motor harness is still connected.

Hope this helps.

Anyone know where the fuse is for these front wires? Found the wires on my pro160 but there is no power there.

The fuse for the front wires are inside the console in an inline fuse holder.   There's a plate on the bottom of the console with 4 screws holding it on.
