Gantarel Jr fin replacements?

Featured Replies

Was fishing some laydowns, and the both fins came off, I'm assuming in the water. Now it looks like a really bad wakebait. Any reccomendation/fixes would be appreciated, was thinking maybe try to get it to sink, because I can't think of a material to replace the fins with, and jackalls support email never works :/

I'd call them then at 1 562 493 0300

Jackall is one of my favorite companies, I own the big and little version of this bait, if you can't get in contact with a company, that's not a good sign.

Keep trying. They're usually good about straightening you out with those.

Yeah I hear you, I really do love jackall and it's a love hate relationship for this reason.

I have both but haven't fished them yet. Is this a common problem?

Never had this issue. I throw them a lot, but I don't fish them through wood. Then again, not much wood around here. But I know someone who lost a fin when he skimmed a piling slinging one under a bridge. They sent a new bait. Have heard this repeated several times over time. Some guys add thin superglue at the junction of a fin's perimeter and the body to anchor them better.

I got mine from Australia.  I think shipping was $15.  I bought a bunch since I like these baits and shipping was expensive.  I haven't even fixed the one I lost the fins on.  It happened at night and continued to catch fish before I realized it wasn't diving very deep.  It happend on a gill flash jdm Jr.  I might actually remove the ones on my black Jr for night fishing use.

Definitely add some super glue to the pectoral fins or you will lose them. It’s the only flaw with the bait besides the cheap hooks they decided to go with. Otherwise it’s a phenomenal bait. It is useable without the fins it just doesn’t go far below the surface it’s more of a wake bait but still gets bit.
