At the moment I throw my normal 110 sized jerkbaits on a Dobyns fury medium heavy moderate crankbait rod and have success with it, but I have a bunch of Rapala HJ 10s and smaller sized yozuri jerkbaits I plan to throw but I feel like they're to small to throw on the dobyns casting setup. Would I be able to throw these on my medium light fast action rod? It's a 13 fishing Fate Black 7'0 ML Fast action series.

 

I would use a "medium" spinning rod like most jerkbait anglers recommend but at the moment I don't have any in my inventory. 

 

 

MLs are perfect for those JBs that are just too light to be used on most casting gear.  MLs are great for those light weight high drag balsa baits like shad raps.  Once I need a M power rod for FW purposes I find M casting gear is more versatile then spinning and just more fun to use IMO.  

Rapala HJ10 is 4” @ 3/8 oz, 6’8” to 6’10” MF rod will work.

What weight Yo-Zuri are you using?

Medium Fast or xfast for both Husky and 3DB’s imo.

How do they work for you? I have two medium lights in my arsenal and I noticed the 13fishing rod I mentioned has a more stiffness than the other, my other rod is a daiwa and it's the same length and everything but feels more like a noodle. 

It works great for me - I mostly use a Tatula Elite 6'9". I had a St Croix M 6'8" and didn't really like it. I know what you mean though - I have tried a bunch of rods and many I didn't care for...

 

I broke the only megabass rod I ever owned when my kayak fell on it. I really liked that one.

Pointer 65sp in Ghost Minnow or Baitfish Silver and I wear them out. I know everyone has there favorites but I have probably caught 2k fish on these 2 baits in the past 10 years.
