Berkeley Waterbug

Featured Replies

Has any body fished these before, and what are your thoughts.

Theyre a good bait, float really well and the flat bottom helps them glide really well.  The downfall is that they're fragile, particularly in the tail.  I wouldn't surprised to see Berkley discontinue them tbh, as I dont think they sold as well as they thought they would.

Thanks for the reply an review bud. I’ll try a package out just to see what’s up.

Since they floats very well and flat bottom it is making good drop shot lure, Specially smallmouth guys swear on them in some particular colors. I personally didnt have any luck with them but still have couple packages in my bag.

I think they’re decently popular, a lot of people use them as a dropshot bait or on a round jighead. They resemble a goby.

That sounds good that they sorta resemble a goby, cause my river is chock full of sculpins which kinda look similar to a goby. With it floating I’m hoping it’ll give them something different to look at.
