  1. Thankyou A-Jay, I always appreciate you input man!
  2. I guess this adds one more question to the pile. So I was using the medium light rods for finesse smallmouth bass fishing in rivers. May they have been to light of a rod? In this river I mostly finesse with 1/16-1/4 oz. Lures which the rod rates for, but might fighting smallmouth in current be too much for the ML. Should I step up to a Medium?
  3. Mine were M/L’s as well.
  4. Thanks a lot for saying all that man. That gives me much more confidence in buying another. And I did buy them nearly at the same time of each other. Thanks for sharing your examples of going through the woods with them and stuff to.
  5. I understand that you need to handle them with care, no hi-sticking, throwing them in the truck, using a rod tube for transport, no lifting a fish out of the water with it. But I’m gun shy now. My last two were Premier spinning rods. And they both snapped either at 6 inches from the tip, or one at about 3/4 up the rod. I REALLY liked the feel, weight, and sensitivity of the rods. I would like to get another, I just don’t want to feel like walking on eggshells everytime I cast. I do treat my rods with care, and use the appropriate lure sizes and line ratings, but paying $200, then having to worry about not having it the rest of the trip, because it snapped isn’t much piece of mind. Have you guys had break issues? What do you do to counteract that? I shouldn’t have to be worrying about my rod when I’m trying to enjoy fishing. Thankyou
  6. That’s what I was thinking about using it was an underpin. Thanks for sharing that.
  7. Have any of you guys used this yet, and what are your thoughts on it? Thanks
  8. Thanks for that great picture Ajay. That really shows those in there true color. I appreciate that.
  9. Hi all, I love the look and action on these baits but man they’re pricey. Would do you guys feel are the best alternatives to the Vision 110?
  10. I am totally digging that FA AMAGO!
  11. Thanks much man, this was actually the type of answer I was looking for. What size swim baits do you guys fit on what size underspin hooks. This helps a lot!
  12. Thanks guys. Great info and suggestions. Great minds think alike. I had just purchased some Flashy swimmers the other day. And am now liking those Picasso’s.
  13. Hi everyone, Ill be doing a lot of underspin and Keitech Fat Swim bait fishing this year. last year, I mostly used the 1/8 and 3/16 size Underspins with 2.8” Keitechs. I want to expand those to lager sizes this year. I’ve got this chart below that shows the Coolbaits underspin sizes. I just don’t know which size Keitechs fit best on which size underspin. I’m looking at using the 3.3 through 4.8 size keitechs. Any help on what sizes you would fit on which size underspin would be of great help thanks!
  14. Great suggestion! I’ve been wanting to pick some up, and the price is good too!
  15. Which one is that Allen?
  16. Will do and Thankyou.
  17. Thankyou Alabamaspothunter. I’ll check out the Spro!
  18. There is a new spot I’m fishing below a dam. All rocks below the surface, and the water is stained. In this area, there are Smallmouth, Walleye and Musky. It’s actually the Fox River in Illinois. I’m focused on smallmouth, if I catch the others it’s a plus. Today I was throwing the Bandit 100 Crankbait in a Brown Crawfish with orange belly. It did a great job bouncing off the rocks. But I’m thinking I want something that makes more noise. The dam is loud as it is then with the stained water, I don’t think I’m attracting all the fish that I can. Any suggestions on an alternative crank that makes more noise? Thankyou
  19. Scott’s description is SPOT ON! Its nasty stuff. It’s different than back in the day. The only thing I remember when I was younger was the regular long wavy weeds. They weren’t crazy thick or wool like(as Scott put it) like this stuff, nor would leave constant strands floating throughout the water column.
  20. Thankyou Glenn, that’s a huge help!
  21. It’s crazy it’s the same way in Florida. But at a much higher level. You see all the reports of the Red tide in every canal from okeechobee to all the southern coasts. They know the biggest problem is from all the sugar cane fields and fertilizers flushing into the waterways, but there is too much money and political power behind the sugar cane fields. It is a major ecological problem down there.
  22. Totally! I hear ya on that ☝️
  23. I fish a local small river in Illinois for smallmouth. But it has already this year become nearly impossible to fish it cause of Filamentous Algae. Strips of it are flowing downstream everywhere, and there isn’t a cast were I don’t get it caught on the line. Is there anything they can do environmentally to stop this from growing so bad. I heard that it may be caused by fertilizers. I never remember this stuff being in the river when I was a kid.
  24. Well that’s good news to me. I’m pretty sure I’ve never used them but always wondered.
  25. True. They’ll definitely need to add more. All the basics at least.
