Mega bass 110 best alternatives?

Featured Replies

Hi all, I love the look and action on these baits but man they’re pricey.

Would do you guys feel are the best alternatives to the Vision 110?

The KO's but you need to buy a few because the QC is off on them. If you want painted ones look for the Rick Clunn ones from Luck-e-Strike

Order your 110's from Japan. They are around $15 or less but you will have to pay shipping.

I have yet to find a cheaper alternative but the Lucky Craft Pointer is the other bait you should throw when the 110 isn't getting hit.

Otter take a look at the IMA flits. They are a very good alternative to the 110's.

Anyone tried the new rapalas that supposedly suspend head down?

They work well.  I have a few and if I didn't have 100 visions, would probably get more

Jerk baits are my crack cocaine.  I have in my Skeeter today, 3 double sided boxes with 30 each, plus a 3600 with a dozen or so that won't fit the regular boxes.

I've been buying, and throwing, lots of Stunna's.  Really like that bait.  Good action, good colors.  $10 less than the Vision.  Still throw lots of Visions, though.

Just asking ,6th Sense Provoke 106 ?  How does it compare to the vision 110

The 110 will always be the gold standard. But as mentioned the Spro McStick is good.

Not a really big difference in price, but I like the Jackall Rerange

I don't have any experience but I've heard good things on the Team Ark J110SP.  $9.99 on tackle warehouse

On rare occasions I've seen them as a part of a discount code here.  I can recall a BOGO one time at Kittery Trading Post too.

But most of the time Megabass items are excluded in discounts.  Not always though.

Forgot about Kittery Trading Post. I have ordered from them a few times. They do have good deals. I remember getting the BOGO deal on two 110 Jr's, GLXS Spawn Cherry and Northern Reaction. Nobody else had them at that time.  Felt pretty lucky.

Another 👍 for the Stunna. I have 4 or 5 and they have been productive. A good value for the money.

I really like the Stunna. Actually I’ve been liking them so much lately they’ve kind of taken the place of my 110s for the time being. Something about that slow sink in the winter time drives fish crazy.

Loaded up on pretty much every color when Purefishing had the 50% off and BOGO deal 😂

Gunna have to give a nod to the Stunna as well.  It's the first jerkbait I grab now.  Which is sad considering how much money I have in 110's.

That JDM site in Arizona (not sure if I can post the name) got around the major JDM rules of no discounts by discounting their gift cards. Buy a gift card at a discount and buy what you want, no exclusions.

Going to try a couple of these this year.

There are a ton of good jerkbaits on the market: LC Pointer, Smithwick Rogue, Rapala Husky Jerk, Team Daiwa Minnow are all proven baits for me over the years.

I have never bought one or seen one in person but oddly, I got one as a free gift with my Daiwa Certate.  I have to admit,  it's a well made bait.  We will see how it performs.

Also, it gets bonus points for having excellent hardware, including the oval split ring.

Editing my above statement..... this is the Revoltage. Still a cool bait that I have never seen.

My 2nd best after the Vision is the Rapala Shadow Rap. Caught lots of fish on the Shadow Rap.

I catch lots of fish on the Berkley Stunna and the Lucky Craft Pointer line.  Caught a pile on the Rapala rip stop and the Husky Jerk.

Buy some suspend strips and you can make the floating ones sink or suspend.
