My Big Bass Tournament experience

Featured Replies

Not sure if this goes here or not but thought I would let you know how I did. I enter the Lews & Strike King Big Bass Tournament which was today on Lake Murray SC. I started later then I wanted to but that’s ok. I had my Lake Murray map (that I just got at Palmetto State Armory) the day before and off I went to my first place to fish. I was doing ok had a hit on my top water lure, I fished  a little long and left to my next place. This should tell me what kind of day it was going to be, I looked down to get the map and it was gone, no where to be seen. Not to drag this out any longer, All I caught today was a turtle, 8 hours of fishing and I only catch a turtle.

This was not a good confidence builder today. I need to learn more about fishing points. Anyway come to think about it, I need to learn a whole lot more that is fore sure.

Happens to us all, Ott Defoe zero'd today on the final day of a MLF event on a legendary big Bass factory in Guntersville.   If it came happen to a Classic champ, it can happen to us.

At least you put yourself out there, challenged yourself, and enjoyed a day on the water.

If we didn't have anywhere to grow, life wouldn't be enjoyable.

The mental strength to grind after a rough start or a bad day is what eventually separates the winners from the field. Chin up and think about what you learned out there.
