Always in the market to try new frog rods since hollow body’s are my fav lures to toss.   Came across a good deal on an IMX pro 884c.    Not much info out there on this rods.  I’m guessing they aren’t very popular.  ??‍♂️.    Anyone out there have any real world experience or insight to offer on this rod?   Thanks in Advance.   

Nice rods.  I have a few models of the imx pro and like them.   I find the frog rod a bit weak if you’re fishing frogs in thick slop.  Sparse weeds they work well.  

Thanks for the reply.  Appreciate it.   I have a frog rod for the thick stuff.   Was looking for something along the edges to toss hollow bodies. Also looking for an excuse to try an IMX pro.   LoL.   I know they’re probably better as contact rods but I do love frog rods. ??‍♂️ 

Keep in mind that just because Loomis says it’s a frog rod doesn’t mean you can use it for other things

The imx-pro's are nice sticks....you'll be impressed.  That frog rod will double as a t-rig plastics rod.

Have you tried it yet?    My bass season doesn’t open until 3rd Saturday in June.  I have a few months

Not that specific one, but I mostly use Loomis IMX-Pro and GLX rods. Every one I use has been great so far.

I owned the 885 and sold it because it was to tip heavy and not balanced for me because I fish from shore however the power was there and it definitely can handle thick vegetation, I now own the 884 and it is perfect for the frog fishing I do in sparce cover and around docks

Not that one but Ive got a couple IMX pro's which I really like. Great rods.
