Zodias vs Poison Adrena

How comparable are these 2 lines as far as power/action goes?

I have both but not the same models so I can't really compare. I have a 7'2 H Zodias and was curious how the 7'2 H Posion Adrena compares as far as power/action goes.

Thanks!

I own two Zodias casting rods, one is a 7'2" MHGA.  Before purchasing these rods I went to a tackle shop where they had both the Zodias and the Posion Adrena. Holding them in my hand, I could not see or feel enough difference to justify the price difference of the Poison Adrena.  I am sure both are great fishing rods, one has a cooler name.  Everyone is different.  We have different size hands, arm strength and casting mechanics.  You won't know until you physically hold and inspect both rods for yourself.

I’m sure the zodias line is really nice, but the 7’2H Adrena is an amazing rod for me. It feels like a super lightweight MH, but really locks in the power when you want it. I’ve either read or watched people say the zodias might fish a little stouter. This makes sense to me with the way the Adrena has a “dual action” feel. If your other Adrena is the 6’11M+ this is the big brother. If you have the 7’3 MH, the Fast action feels significantly different in my hands.

Excellent. Thanks guys.

I was hoping the 7'2 H Adrena would fishing a little heavier than my 7'2 H Zodias. But for the price at Midway, I may still pull the trigger. That's a steal for a PA.

Edit-looks like they bumped the price up a bit, but still a deal with the stacked 15%.

I’m looking at that one too (Adrena ). But the ALX Zolo Dragger is also on my radar.

FYI.  There is a significant difference between the 6' 10" MH Zodias and the 7' 2" MH Zodias.  The 7' 2" blank is much thicker.  It's a stout rod best suited for large crankbaits, Rattle Traps and spinnerbaits.  The 6' 10" rod is great for soft plastics.  Both rods are very light and sensitive.

I've got both that I use for flipping.  I've got three  7' 2'' Zodias so I really like them.  They have a great balance between power and a soft moderate tip for precision.  To me the Poison is a little stiffer/crisper but nice also.  The one I have is the old generation two piece model with the blank that the is inserted into the handle.

I have read reports that the 72 heavy posion adreana is a softer heavy.  "More of a medium heavy" by more than one person.  Some even calling for its use for moving baits.

I've been wanting to get the PA 7'2H for a while now but was wondering about what it's like in the real world, now that I have a pretty good idea of what it's like based on your input, I might go ahead and buy one. I currently have two of the 6'11M+ and I really like them a lot. I also have the Zodias 7'MH, I like it but can't stand the EVA handle.

Like you , I hate shimano's EVA handles. It irritates my hands. I wrap my EVA handles with tennis handle wrap.

Now they have Winn grip wrap that does the same thing.

The PA 7'2 hvy is a decent rod. I've tried 1/2 oz  spinnerbaits and chatterbaits on mine. I usually have a 1/2 oz jig on it though.

I also have the 6'10 med, 6'11 med + and 7'3 med hvy. All are decent rods.

The 6'10 med is probably my least favorite. To me, the tip is just a little too stiff for my liking. It's way more stiff than the expride 6'10 med. And more stiff than the old model PA in the same action.
