Tackle Warehouse July 4th/Labor Day Sale

Featured Replies

Does Tackle Warehouse also do a Labor Day sale every year? I know they do July 4th every year and is currently going on right now. Even though it just started and is not over yet, I think I am going to have to skip the July 4th sale and wait on some baits I was hoping to get a decent discount on.

I was hoping TW also does a Labor Day sale also and than hopefully I would be able to pick up the baits I want later in September. If TW does do a Labor Day sale, is it usually 15-20% like the July 4th one that is going on right now?

The current 4th sale is a bit of a joke by TW standards. They usually have 15% off across the board on almost everything on the site (including many excluded brands), but for the first time that I can remember they literally went with "select items" being on sale this year for the 4th. Labor Day is typically the same sale as the 4th, so who knows what they'll do in a couple months. Good news is quite a few other sites have surpassed TW's sales these days, so it'll save you some money spreading around your business.

In the past if certain items were excluded I would call them and they’d give me the discount

I just ordered 20 packs of Keitechs.  I got $.90 off each at checkout.

Same here. Nothing I want is on sale. I thought about trying one of those LFS reels for 60 some bucks.

There was just enough things that I wanted to give me free shipping after the discount.

Some plastics, a reel cover, some more Owner Block Heads and some barrel weights.

I went through the same thing and reached the same conclusion.  Now I am contemplating a second one.  It's like that window of time when Daiwa Fuegos could be found for $55.  I ended up with 3 of those.  We will see what happens.

Which is exactly why I haven't pulled the trigger. I've still got 2 Fuego's that I haven't used.

I traded one of my Fuego's for a box of jerkbaits...

So you are saying it was one of the best decisions of your life?

Well worth it - since I'd picked up a Tatula 100 and a Supreme XT over the winter in the same (or close) gear ratio...and I didn't need 3 of that IPT class.

Thanks for the enablement.  #2 LFS is on its way.  Hehehe.

I sure hope this sale on only select items is not something they continue. I stopped shopping BPS because their sales are on very select items, mostly their own brand name stuff. I like TW, but will drop them also if all of there sales are only select items they are trying to get rid of or have overstock. I guess we will see what happens at Labor day. I had a whole wish list at TW, but only a couple items were actually on sale. I guess I could call, but hate to do that for each sale. I am glad you guys found the stuff you needed on sale. Happy 4th to all, stay safe.

@NorcalBassin - which sites do you like these days? Thanks!

There's one unmentionable that's not near as good as it used to be and two we can mention- Omnia and The Hook Up Tackle. Omnia is an exceptional deal for non-excluded brands when you get the "free" premium annual membership on black friday that gives you a percentage credit on each purchase and combine it with Punch's or someone else's 15% off discount code that is good 1x every month. They also have random 25% off sales for a given brand pretty frequently.

The Hook Up Tackle is strict with their sales exclusions but has a lot of niche jdm brands/products. Seem like great dudes and a relatively small company with a good online presence... happy to give them some $ when their sales line up with something I'm looking for.

If you want Megabass discounts Kittery Trading Post is tough to beat (just had a 20/25/30% off depending on how much was spent). Anything JDM is impossible to beat on sites like Digitaka and Japan Lure Shop. Hopefully that helps!

Not this time around. They went 100% weak sauce by making it select items only instead of the usual some exclusions apply disclaimer. They lost me on this one and I may turn into a BF only customer if they keep this approach up.
