I braved the hot weather today. Strategy was to hit the lake at 5;30 and fish until it got too hot.    My third cast was a surprise.  I landed a five!   Then nothing for two hours.  I rallied and went old school.  Weightless t-rig SENKO sent into the grass.  Most casts got fouled, but every once in a while, “blamo!”  The tug, tick, or moving of the line to indicate I fooled one. I didn’t get many fish today, but I got the right ones.  The smallest was a 3.  I got back to the ramp at 11:00 when I started feeling uncomfortable, and my water ran low.

this secret lake is very under-pressured.  Only a few aluminum boats carrying fisherman. They hugged the shore fruitlessly.  I went mid lake and found 15 foot tall grasses in 15 foot deep water.  I LOVE THIS LAKE.   The bass were buried in the grass.

I did however remove the new-truck look from my fresh truck.  It looks it just circled Thunderdome.  :(  I’ll wash it this evening.

That lake sounds like all sorts of fun.  I bet you'll find have a field day come winter.  ????
