HOW TO ACCESS THE FRONT SLANTED PANEL ON TRACKER PRO TEAM 165

Featured Replies

I am trying to remove the front slanted panel on a 2000 Tracker Pro Team 165. I have removed the hidden screws in the carpet and the panel appears loose but I can not lift it off. There seems to be something else holding it. It will slide a little up & down but not enough to gain access. The front mounted locator does not appear to be getting power to it so need to get to the wiring. Any help will be appreciated. I just got the boat and am learning.

Thanks

The front panel on my 2022 Classic XL goes under the gunwales a little.  You have to kinda flex it and pull one end toward the rear of the boat to get it out.

As woody said you sometimes have to jiggle it. Did you check the fuse? Hopefully it would be on the battery  instead of underneath that panel.

It is actually loose at the top & bottom as I can move it up and down & shine a light through the gap into the space. It feels like it should be free but just wont lift up. I thought that maybe I missed a screw but not the case as I have triple checked that, so thought it might have some hidden latch.

Thanks guys I was finally able to wiggle it enough to get it off. Was just afraid I would break something. Now I just need to figure out how to trace the power wire to find out why there is no power to it. I haven't seen any fuse so far and don't know if it would be wired directly to one of the batteries or somewhere under the control panel. Just keep looking for a purple & black wire somewhere

There's probably a fuse in an inline fuse holder under/inside the console.

I have a 1998 Bass Tracker 175. It has a fuse panel by the drivers seat. I have had the front panel out on mine and it did not have any fuses behind it.
